Liverpool International Tennis Tournament

The Liverpool International Tennis Tournament featuring Martina Navratilova takes place at Calderstones Park, near Woolton, between Thursday 16th and Sunday 19th June 2011.

This hugely popular event is the largest tennis exhibition in Europe and has gone from strength to strength since it started in 2002. Indeed it is now one of the leading occasions in the Liverpool social calendar and provides excellent networking opportunities for local businesses.

The tournament proper has in the past featured the likes of Marat Safin, Mark Rosset, Juan Ignacio Chela, Paradorn Srichaphan, Ivan Ljubicic, Jan Michael Gambill, Robert Kendrick, Xavier Malisse, Vince Spadea, Novak Djokovic, Mikhail Youzhny, Jose Acasuso, David Ferrer, Robin Soderling, Mardy Fish, Caroline Wozniacki, Michelle de Britto and Laura Robson.

Legends such as John McEnroe, Bjorn Borg, Martina Navratilova, Ilie Nastase, Mansour Bahrami, Peter McNamara, Guillermo Vilas, Richard Krajicek, Goran Ivanisevic, Pat Cash, Greg Rusedski, Mats Wilander, Michael Stich, Mikael Pernfors, Martina Hingis and Jana Novotna have also made appearances in previous years, albeit Borg was unable to play due to injury.

In a great coup for the tournament Martina Navratilova returns for the 2011 event. She will be joined by other star names including Greg Rusedski, Martina Hingis, Richard Krajicek, Mansour Bahrami, Mikael Pernfors, Jeremy Bates and Barry Cowan.
